We made a pre-flight checklist for using the 3-D printer telling what to do before we use it because The 3-D printer is super dumb, so we need to check some things before we use it. part of it is to make sure the printer is using the units we expect – millimeters. We all learned about the software stack this meeting so we can all know how it works. We also looked at thingiverse.com, a site where people how have designed things can share their 3D model, you can download .stl files(aka. 3-D models) We also looked at Slicer, a program that slices the 3-D model to layers. From this, the Slicer generates the tool path that it sends to the Printer Interface. We also use print run as software that controls the motors on the printer.
