Maker Team had a big year! With the help of some amazing parent and teacher volunteers, not to mention hard-working kids, we included over 40 students in three different groups—two in the elementary school and one in the middle school. They made everything from robots to stomp rockets to a Lego-scale city. Our student makers might think they are having fun, but they are also practicing being engineers and artists, mathematicians and crafters, planners and builders.
Maker Team has been a joy to be a part of, and I especially want to thank the teachers who gave their time, energy, and support to help make it happen: MJ in the middle school, and Chanel, Lauren, and Leah in the elementary school. We could not have done it without you!
